Man shot dead by police after stabbing attack

man has been shot dead by police in South London after stabbing several people on Sunday, British police said in a statement. "A man has been shot by armed officers in Streatham," Metropolitan Police said on Twitter. "At this stage, it is believed a number of people have been stabbed. The circumstances are being assessed; the incident has been declared as terrorist-related," said the statement. "We can confirm that the man shot by police at around 2pm [1400GMT] today in Streatham High Road has been pronounced dead," a later post by Met said. The London Ambulance Service also reported it had "a number of resources attending an incident in Streatham High Road." Local reports say 2 people have been stabbed during the incident.
