Azerbaijani FM: We are concerned about growing trend of intolerance, discrimination and Islamophobia in world

“Azerbaijan is convinced that promoting tolerance and nondiscrimination is essential element in ensuring of protection of the rights of people and building sustainable societies. We’re concerned about the growing trend of intolerance and discrimination, islamophobia, other religious misconceptions and alarming surge in hate speech. Burning and desecrating Holy Koran in some parts of world under the guise of freedom of expression is inadmissible and constitutes hate crimes.” Said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov as he addressed the 54th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
