Turkiye`s astronaut of Azerbaijani origin Tuva Cihangir Atasever flew into space from the US spaceport in New Mexico.

Atasever was in a uniform with embroidered flags of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

The astronaut started his flight mission with the flags of Türkiye and Azerbaijan in hand presented to him by the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the "TEKNOFEST" festival.
