The first round of the 42nd Chess Olympiad has today started at Baku Crystal Hall. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the first round. The head of state first met with President of World Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
